Knotter is free software, under the terms of the General Public License version 3 or any later version.

The website and documentation are under the Creative Commons Share Alike License.

In a nutshell, the you have the following freedoms:

  • The freedom to run Knotter for any purpose.
  • The freedom to study how Knotter works, and change it to make it do what you wish.
  • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor.
